Within my role I undertake a number of key functions with the general goal of helping The Vet Channel develop as a business by means of implementing processes and procedures and building relationships across the veterinary market.
I create and hopefully nurture partnerships within large veterinary groups and understand the needs of independent veterinary surgeries as well as the needs of third party suppliers within the pharmaceutical, nutrition and vaccination sectors. We also work closely with a number of large charities for which we are immensely proud of.
My key goal for The Vet Channel is to enable as many surgeries to be using the service and in turn help educate our nation’s pet owners.
I’m very fortunate to work with my wife Kate, we work well together and complement each other’s skills. When I’m not at work I love marathon running, cycling and swimming and walking our dog – Fudge and hanging out with our daughter Millie – who also loves the veterinary world – she’d love to be an animal hydrotherapist!
I am the eyes and ear of The Vet Channel, looking after the day to day activities of the business, I’m constantly wagging my tail trying to help our loyal and new customers get the most from The Vet Channel service. My day to day activities involve liaising with our customers, training new members of surgery teams, demonstrating the service to potential new clients and helping to write and create new educational articles for our ever expanding library of content.
It’s a job I really love and I’m always looking at ways in which we can enhance our service and manage software development and quality assurance making sure we can keep evolving whilst looking after the day to day needs of our subscribers.
Part of my job I really enjoy is managing the relationships we have with both large and small veterinary groups as well as some of the country’s leading animal charities. I love knowing that we are making a difference to your clients and in turn enhancing the lives and healthcare of their pets.
When I’m not at the office you’ll find me in lycra, bouncing around the gym doing various classes or running around after our dog Fudge and our daughter Millie.
I’m here to look after all your media requests from writing a practice promotion, to keeping your practice information video up to date, to bespoke educational content. I strive to give every client a highly personalised service, seeing that each request is completed with care and accuracy. I can help you with any general queries on how to use the media website and advise you on how to get the most out of your Vet Channel system. If you want to chat through any ideas you have for content, whether educational or practice specific, just give me a call.
At home I have a fluffy ginger hamster called Sir Henry, who lives in a hamster mansion and has a particular liking for broccoli and swede. He’s very mischievous and demands a considerable amount of attention for such a small creature!
I am a fan of modernist architecture and co-founded the Sheffield Modernist Society where we organise walks, talks and other events to promote and raise awareness of twentieth century buildings. I also love (in no particular order) days out in the Peak District, dogs, locally produced food, good design, art exhibitions – anything creative really, Norway, theatre, stand-ups and live music.
